Each brass piece is carefully crafted by skilled artisans in Japan. The surface has been treated to make scratches and fingerprints less visible. However, there is no transparent coating to allow you to appreciate the patina of time, use, and environment. Oil and air will naturally darken this piece and make it shinier. This is part of its natural beauty.
If brass pieces are exposed to water or humidity for long periods, the metal may change color more quickly or become stained.
Thus, each piece endures through the years without deteriorating but rather evolves and develops a patina through use.
