The TN notebooks have existed since 2006. The brand Traveler's Notebook belongs to the company Traveler's Company which was called Midori before 2015. Today the Midori brand still exists, but it is mainly used for MD Paper notebooks and some accessories. How does a travel journal work?

The beauty of this support lies in the fact that you choose the components, allowing you to design a custom notebook. Let's explore all the options together.

The cover

It is a piece of flat, thick leather with holes drilled to hold elastics. That's all you need to know. The more you use your travel notebook, the more the cover will develop a patina. The scratches it accumulates over time give it the appearance of having traveled a lot, and the cover will adapt to the particular shape of your notebook as you use it, much like a baseball glove molds to your hand over time. The cover is available in several colors such as black, brown, camel, olive, and blue....

The bands

The elastics are an integral part of the Traveler's Notebook system. There are bands that hold the inserts inside the cover, and another band that allows you to close the notebook.

Pro tip: when you receive your new travel notebook, it comes in a cardboard envelope sealed with a band. Keep it! It's a good spare for the band that keeps the notebook closed.

TRAVELER'S COMPANY also sells fine and oversized rubber bands called "connection bands," which you can use to link the inserts together to add additional components to your notebook. 

When you buy your laptop, the default strips are usually the color of the chosen cover, but you can purchase a set of strips in different colors and replace them.

The central element of any notebook is, of course, the paper. The dividers of the travel notebook are available in a variety of styles (lined, grid, or blank pages) and weights (watercolor, lightweight, kraft, and sketch). You can also create your own paper! All you need to do is choose the type of paper you want to use, cut it to the right proportions, fold it in half, and use one or two staples to hold it together like a book.
