The craftsman’s touch

Each TETZBO pen is hand-turned by master Yoshikazu Takai in Japan. The solid, dense, and warm brass develops a patina over time and becomes unique. The limited production and manual work give each piece its own character. See the pens and the fountain pens.

A pen to keep

A TETZBO pen is chosen as a long-term companion. Brass ages well, refills are replaceable, and the object is passed down. It’s the opposite of a disposable pen, a beautiful everyday writing tool. Also see the inks and the desk accessories.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who makes TETZBO pens?

TETZBO pens are hand-turned in Japan by master craftsman Yoshikazu Takai. Each piece is shaped one by one from solid brass. This manual work and limited production explain the unique character and rarity of the brand’s pens.

Why does TETZBO brass change color?

Brass is a living alloy that reacts to air and contact with the hand. Over time, it darkens and develops a unique patina. This is sought after and natural. A suitable cloth can restore the shine if you prefer the bright metal, otherwise the patina continues to form.

Are TETZBO pens refillable?

Yes, TETZBO pens are refillable, which extends their lifespan. Compatible refills are listed on each product page. A hand-turned brass pen, simply maintained, accompanies many years of writing and is gladly passed on.

What makes a TETZBO pen different?

Its craftsmanship. While many pens are mass-produced, TETZBO turns each one by hand from solid brass. The weight, balance, and patina make it a personal object. It’s a pen you keep and notice.

Is a TETZBO pen suitable as a gift?

Yes, it is a memorable gift for a writing enthusiast or lover of beautiful objects. The hand-turned brass and artisanal character make it an extraordinary present. Choose between a ballpoint pen for everyday use and a fountain pen to mark the occasion.
