A fountain pen made of Japanese cherry wood and lacquered using the fuki-urushi technique ("wiped urushi"), in which the wood is impregnated with urushi lacquer to enhance the beauty of the grain.

Fuki-urushi is a traditional technique also widely used in historical architecture. Our pen rest and fountain pen holder are dyed with ink before being lacquered to highlight both the beauty of the wood grain and the lacquer itself.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
Pen holder only — nib sold separately.
To avoid deformation and discoloration, avoid soaking in water, sudden temperature changes, or extreme heat, and
prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
Due to the nature of the material and the treatment, the grain and color vary from one piece to another.
"If it is marked with ink, wipe it with a soft cloth."
When you remove the nib from the holder, pull it out gently while turning it to avoid dislodging the nib support.
After rinsing, shake down well to remove any water or ink from the nib holder before inserting a nib.
