Usage & Entretien
To ensure the longevity of your pen and maintain its impeccable appearance, please follow these tips:
Sun exposure: To avoid slight yellowing of plastic components, minimize prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Alcohol exposure: Although alcohol has no harmful effect during use, it is best to avoid prolonged exposure to prevent any damage.
Regular cleaning: For daily maintenance, use a dry cloth. In case of dirt, simply wipe with a damp cloth.
Brass: The front tip of the pen is made of brass; its color may change depending on use and storage conditions. This color change due to oxidation is harmless. To restore the original appearance, use brass oil and a thick paper towel to gently polish.

Three semi-translucent shades

Under the mast, the glow of brass

Since 2012, ystudio has been designing writing instruments in Taipei. With the Elemental series, the studio sets aside bare metal and offers three semi-translucent pens with a matte finish: orange, green, and brass. The matte surface softens each shade and reveals the warm glow of the brass body underneath. The colors are inspired by Taiwan’s changing landscapes—the morning mist, the twilight glow, and the clarity of daylight. The hexagonal body evokes the joy of the first pencil held between the fingers.

THE DETAIL OF THE ELEMENTAL

What sets these rollerball pens apart

01

Six pans in hand

The hexagonal body supports the fingers and recreates the grip of the first pencil. A simple reference, known to all.

02

The brass remains underneath

The brass body is beneath the colored layer, so it does not come into contact with the hand. Its warmth can be sensed through transparency, without darkening.

03

A mast that softens

The matte surface softens the shine of each shade and reveals the metal underneath. The color appears in layers, never as a solid block.

04

Water-based ink

The water-based refill provides a smooth and consistent line. The writing flows without needing to press down.

05

An internal spring

The internal spring mechanism adapts to each stroke. It follows the pressure of the hand instead of resisting it.

06

The landscapes of Taiwan

The shades are inspired by the morning mist, the twilight glow, and the brightness of the day.
