Maito Design Works specializes in crafting Japanese objects using natural plant-based materials. They are also a local partner located near Kuramae.
The indigo dyeing is done in multiple layers and finished with beeswax. Initially very dark in appearance, the color will reveal itself and deepen with use.
The nib holder is designed according to universal standards to fit standard nibs.

Usage & Entretien
Friction may cause color or wax transfer.
To prevent fading, avoid soaking the dip pen in water, sudden temperature changes, and prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Due to the nature of the material and its treatment, color and grain may vary from piece to piece.
If ink gets on the wood, clean it with a soft cloth.
When removing your nib, pull gently while twisting to prevent the fitting from coming loose.
After rinsing, shake well downward to remove all water or ink before inserting the nib.
