BRASS NIB - Brass nib by KAKIMORI, Tokyo, Japan.
The brass pen was designed for its durability and functionality. The tip has been carefully rounded and polished, allowing for a particularly smooth writing experience, well beyond expectations.
Tilt the pen below 45° to create wavy lines and different thicknesses like a brush stroke. As the ink intensity decreases, turn the pen to get more ink into the grooves. A dip in ink allows you to write a message on a postcard-sized format.
Ideal for calligraphy and drawing. (For writing and achieving precise lines, choose the stainless steel nib.)
This pen meets universal characteristics to adapt to standard pen holders.

Brass will develop a natural character and a patina with use. Appreciate the unique transformation of your pen.
"It was designed by Yuto Yamazaki from the Alloy studio based in Kuramae. This is an innovative pen developed after numerous prototypes."
Nowadays, opportunities to write by hand are limited. Focusing on the simplicity of the dip pen, KAKIMORI has developed a range of interchangeable nibs and holders. Versatile and designed for regular users, this collection is a new writing instrument suited to our times.
USE & MAINTENANCE
- Due to the nature of the material and its treatment, the color and grain may vary from one piece to another.
- If ink is on the wood, clean with a soft cloth.
- When you remove your pen, pull gently while turning to avoid the fitting coming loose.
- After rinsing, shake down well to remove any water or ink before inserting the nib.
- The maximum writing angle is 45°.
- An important blow to the nib can compromise the accuracy of the ink flow.
- To avoid the accumulation of dried ink in the grooves, rinse frequently with water during use.
- Get rid of the dried ink by gently rubbing it under water with a toothbrush.
- If you use a detergent, choose a product with a neutral pH. Avoid alkaline detergents that would damage the surface.
