A bit of porcelain placed on the desk

These Hasami porcelain pen rests were designed by Makoto Koizumi and are made by the Koushun-gama kiln. Four shades have been selected: Karayaki, fired without glaze, in a soft matte white, then the Ruri, Kindei and Yuteki glazes. Two formats are available, Pen Rest I for one pen and the double Pen Rest II, inspired by a droplet. On the desk, the pen placed on it no longer rolls and stays in its place, within easy reach.

HASAMI PORCELAIN

What makes these pen holders

01

A ceramic piece

Each pen rest is made of ceramic, crafted from Hasami porcelain. No wood or metal, just a dense and smooth material placed on the desk.

02

The world of enamels

The Ruri, Kindei and Yuteki glazes give the porcelain very different looks, from cobalt blue to speckled black. Karayaki, for its part, is fired without glaze and keeps a soft matte white.

03

Four selected shades

Karayaki, Ruri, Kindei, and Yuteki make up the series palette. Four shades chosen together, to be matched or mixed depending on the desk.

04

Two forms, I and II

The series comes in Repose Stylo I, for one pen, and Repose Stylo II, a double format for two pens. To be used alone or side by side.

05

The pen no longer rolls

Placed on the pen rest, the pen no longer rolls and always finds the same spot. It stays within reach during breaks.

06

A tidy desk

Putting your pen down instead of leaving it lying around is enough to keep your workspace tidy. A small object, a habit that lasts all day.
