A material that retains light
Frost was born from a question that Kakimori, the stationery shop in Kuramae, Tokyo, has long asked itself: which material makes you want to pick up a pen every day? The answer lies in a semi-opaque exterior, wrapped in translucency, allowing light to pass through without revealing everything. The range is available as a rollerball pen with a 0.5 mm tip and as a fountain pen, with a fine or medium nib, and in four shades: translucent, green, purple, and amber. A pen designed for daily writing, pleasant to hold and to look at.

FROST, BY KAKIMORI
What sets these pens apart
A semi-opaque exterior
The polycarbonate body looks like frosted glass: it hints at the interior and the ink level without revealing everything. It is this veil of light that gives the series its name.
Rollerball or fountain pen, same silhouette
The range is available as a rollerball pen with a 0.5 mm tip and as a fountain pen, with a fine or medium nib depending on the desired line. The tips are interchangeable: the motion changes, the shape remains the same.
Four shades
Translucent, green, purple, and amber. One shape and four ways to read the same material, depending on the room’s light.
The tip is replaceable
The nib and refill are made by Schmidt and can be easily changed when the tip clogs or when you want to switch to a different type of line.
A sought-after balance
Kakimori worked extensively on every detail, the shape, the material, the balance in hand, before finalizing the design of the series.
Designed for everyday use
Frost is not a collectible item. It is made to be used every day and to bring calm to ordinary moments.
