Two ways to tell the time in the morning
At Lemnos, an alarm clock is first judged by its dial. Farbe softens its edges with chamfered borders, like toy blocks, and enlarges its numbers so the time can be read effortlessly. City Pop, designed by Yota Kakuda, takes the opposite approach: a square case with almost nothing left, sharp numbers and lines. Two characters, the same morning reflex: open one eye and know the time.

LEMNOS EXPERTISE
What makes these alarm clocks easy to read
Numbers that speak for themselves
Color focuses on highly visible number fonts and simple indicators. The time can be read at a glance, without searching.
Beveled edges
Farbe softens its edges with beveled borders, like toy blocks. A gentle shape, designed for the hand.
Two colored needles
The Farbe design highlights the yellow second hand and the red alarm hand. You can immediately see what time the alarm is set for.
A square, almost nothing
City pop keeps a minimum of elements beyond numbers and clean lines. An urban awakening that doesn’t clutter the bedside.
The Yota Kakuda signature
City pop is designed by Yota Kakuda, born in Japan in 1979, trained at the Royal College of Art in London, and then a product designer at MUJI.
A studio in Tokyo
Returning to Japan in 2008, Yota Kakuda founded YOTA KAKUDA DESIGN in Tokyo in 2011. City pop follows, in black dial or white dial.
