Founded in Kuramae (Tokyo) in 2010 by Hirose Takuma, Kakimori invented the "ink bar" where everyone creates their own ink using a pipette.

AIZOME PEN HOLDER
The writing tools we choose also touch our emotions. We sought to create a tool that inspires a lifetime of use, bringing joy to our hands and soul. Designed to universal specifications to fit all standard nibs, the pen holder will accompany you through a lifetime of writing.
The natural beauty of the wood grain is enhanced by a deep indigo finish. Each pen holder has been carefully hand-dyed by artisans using indigo grown in Tokushima.
A pen holder made from Japanese cherry and Japanese indigo dye. Designed to facilitate writing, the 7-inch length fits comfortably in the hand like a standard pencil. Pair it with your favorite nib or change nibs according to your mood. Fits most nibs as well as those in our range. *Nib sold separately.

USE AND CARE
- Pen holder only — nib sold separately.
- The pen holder will gradually lighten to take on a true indigo color with use and handling.
- If the pen holder becomes dry, apply a little beeswax.
- Friction may cause color or beeswax finish transfer.
- To prevent deformation and discoloration, avoid soaking in water, sudden temperature changes or extreme heat, as well as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
- When removing the nib from the pen holder, pull it out gently while twisting to avoid dislodging the nib holder.
- Due to the nature of the material and treatment, grain and color vary from piece to piece.
- If marked with ink, wipe it with a soft cloth.
- After rinsing, shake well downward to remove any water or ink from the nib holder before inserting a nib.
