A color is never completely neutral. It speaks of a season, a mood, a memory. KAKIMORI understands this and makes ink a small territory of emotion, between house shades that carry a name and a workshop where you create your own.

Inks that carry a name, and a story
The house named its numbered series after Japanese words that tell a sensation. Kurun evokes the dance of vine shoots, Zabun the blue of the vast ocean and its waves, Po the color of modesty, the one that makes you blush. These are pigment inks, water-based, that flow equally well with a dip pen or a fountain pen, in a rounded bottle you won’t want to put away.

Colour specimen, according to the seasons
Alongside the numbered inks, the Colour specimen series gathers seasonal shades imagined by the team through their encounters with color. The palette evolves throughout the year, for those who like to be surprised and change their hue.
The inkstand, create your own color
Opened in 2013, the inkstand by KAKIMORI is the house’s custom ink workshop. Starting from base inks, available in fourteen mixable shades like Robe bleue, you measure drop by drop until you get your color, on site in Kuramae or remotely. This is the experience that made the brand known.
