Off the Road

Off the Road is a collection of outdoor adventures, celebrating the vehicles and gear that make them possible. Its striking photography transports us to breathtaking landscapes while revealing the lifestyle of those who make their wheels their home — at least temporarily.

More and more travelers hit the road to venture into the middle of nowhere. On less-traveled paths, they climb mountains and descend dunes. They enjoy both the drive and the scenery through a mud-splattered windshield as much as the breaks and campfires in the heart of spectacular terrain.

Setting out to explore the great outdoors in their camper vans, jeeps, station wagons, or 4x4s, they choose their own routes, paces, and challenges. At the end of a day of adventure, these versatile vehicles also serve as kitchen, campsite, and bedroom — far more improvised and fun than a standard camper van. Conventional comforts are set aside in favor of greater freedom, renewed calm, and adventure.
