HEUGE SETOGURO BOWL
Momoyama period pottery is also known as "Hikidashi Kuro" (drawer black) or "Tensho Kuro" (Tensho black) due to the firing method and the era in which it was fired. One of its features is its glossy, deep jet black glaze, so opaque that the color of the base material is not visible.
To create Setoguro tableware that can be widely used on the modern dining table, we used modern glaze blends and techniques rather than the same methods as in the past to achieve a glossy, truly jet black color. Enjoy the contrast between the unique black-on-black tableware and colorful ingredients.
This bowl is between a rice bowl and a soup bowl. It is ideal for serving individual side dishes or for serving large dishes containing plenty of soup or stew.
