Classic Revolve Brass Drafting Pencil
This YSTUDIO drafting pencil takes 2.0 mm leads. Its solid brass body, slightly wider than average, offers a firm grip and a steady line for sketching, note-taking and drawing alike.
The spiral visible at the top is the signature mechanical touch of the Classic Revolve series. The top cap comes off for sharpening the lead, keeping the point crisp without reaching for another tool.
Left raw, with no surface treatment, the brass develops a patina with use and takes on a shade all its own. A brass cleaner restores its original shine whenever you wish.

Use & Care

Born in Taipei, engraved in brass
Since 2012, ystudio has been crafting writing instruments in brass and copper in Taipei. The metal is deliberately heavy to give weight to the gesture. Over time, the surface develops a patina through letters, notebooks, and signatures.

YSTUDIO EXPERTISE
What makes these instruments unique
The weight, embraced
Brass gives pens a solid weight that grounds the hand. Writing becomes a deliberate, almost ceremonial gesture.
Living metals
Brass and copper darken when touched by fingers. Each pen takes on the patina of its owner.
The lacquer and the detail
Lacquered bodies, fine engravings, precise mechanisms: craftsmanship cares for what the hand touches.
Designed to last
Standard refills and replaceable parts: instruments made to write for years.
A studio, an idea
ystudio advocates for slow writing: slowing down, choosing your words, giving them weight.
Taipei, the workshop
The brand was born in the Taiwanese design scene, blending the tradition of writing with contemporary minimalism.
