Two workshops, one box set

The wood of Fukui, the land of Mino

This set brings together two Japanese workshops. The chopsticks come from Fukui, made of natural wood coated with lacquer, and measure 23 cm, a length easy to handle. The chopstick rest is made of Mino ceramics, the region where CHIPS sources its clays and colors. The four colors of the series—the glossy black of Setoguro, the creamy white of Shino, the deep green of Oribe, and the warm yellow of Kiseto—are the traditional colors of Mino ceramics, passed down for over 1,000 years. Stored in their box, the two pieces are ready to be gifted as they are.

CHIPS EXPERTISE

What makes this box unique

01

Lacquered chopsticks from Fukui

The chopsticks in the set are made in Fukui, Japan, where the wood is lacquered. It is the main piece of the set.

02

The wood beneath the lacquer

Under the lacquer layer, the material remains natural wood. The lacquer provides the color and protects the surface.

03

23 cm, comfortable in hand

A length of 23 cm, easy to handle daily. And after the meal, the chopsticks go in the dishwasher.

04

The Mino chopstick rest

Each box contains a small Mino ceramic chopstick rest. It completes the set and provides a place for the chopsticks between bites.

05

Four colors, a thousand years

Setoguro, Shino, Oribe, and Kiseto are the traditional colors of Mino ceramics, passed down for over 1,000 years.

06

Designed for Japanese cuisine

These shades are designed to highlight the ingredients of Japanese cuisine.
