AIZOME PENCIL HOLDER

The writing tools we choose also touch our emotions. We have sought to create a tool that inspires a lifetime of use, bringing joy to our hands and our soul. Designed to universal specifications to fit all standard nibs, the pen holder will accompany you throughout a lifetime of writing.

The natural beauty of the wood grain is enhanced by a deep indigo finish. Each pen holder has been carefully hand-dyed by artisans using indigo grown in Tokushima.

A pen holder made from Japanese cherry wood and Japanese indigo dye. Designed for ease of writing, the 7-inch length fits comfortably in the hand like a standard pencil. Pair it with your favorite nib or change the nib according to your mood. Fits most nibs as well as those from our range. *Nib sold separately.

The elegant grain of the wood is accentuated by the deep indigo finish. Each dip pen is hand-dyed with care by an indigo artisan.

USE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Pen holder only — nib sold separately.
  • The pen holder will gradually lighten to take on a true indigo color with use and handling.
  • If the fountain pen becomes dry, apply a little beeswax.
  • Friction can cause the transfer of color or beeswax finish.
  • To avoid deformation and discoloration, avoid soaking in water, sudden temperature changes or extreme heat, as well as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
  • When you remove the nib from the holder, pull it out gently while turning it to avoid dislodging the nib support.
  • Due to the nature of the material and the treatment, the grain and color vary from one piece to another.
  • "If it is marked with ink, wipe it with a soft cloth."
  • After rinsing, shake down well to remove any water or ink from the nib holder before inserting a nib.
