Blackwing Pearl Blue Crayons (12 Crayons)

The new Pearl shades in blue and pink are an addition to the main range of Blackwing pencils. Each pencil contains the same balanced and smooth graphite core as the other Pearl pencils. It is softer than the graphite of the Blackwing 602, but firmer than that of the Blackwing Matte, making it a favorite among calligraphers and illustrators.

Each pencil features a pearlescent finish, the iconic square ferrule of Blackwing, a silver marking, and a bright blue eraser. The Blackwing Pearl pencils are sold in a set of 12, which also serves as a pencil holder.

"Some of the greatest winners of Grammy, Emmy, Pulitzer, and Academy Awards have created with Blackwing pencils. Among the famous users are John Steinbeck, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein, and Chuck Jones (who proudly used Blackwing to create Bugs Bunny and countless other Looney Tunes characters). ABOUT THE BRAND

The Blackwing pencil has a rich history dating back to 1934. In 2008, Palomino acquired the brand and began producing the Blackwing line as we know it today.

Blackwing pencils are renowned for the quality of their graphite and the unique softness of their lead. The Blackwing pencil is instantly recognizable by its semi-hexagonal body and interchangeable eraser. The original 602 pencil alone inspired the works of some of the greatest artists in history. It is said that Disney animator Shamus Culhane requested to be buried with his Blackwing 602.
