A PLATE OF ABUNDANCE WOVEN BY GLASS
The Woven Plate AKAME X HMM is the result of a tripartite collaboration between the AKAME restaurant, HMM Design, and Spring Pool Glass. AKAME is a famous fusion restaurant in southern Taiwan, specializing in wood-fired grilling, seasonal indigenous ingredients, unique herbs and spices, and wild vegetables.
The Woven Plate is inspired by the woven flower shell baskets of the indigenous peoples of Taiwan, transforming woven layers into glass to present a magnificent piece of tableware through exquisite glass craftsmanship. Made from recycled glass, this plate can be fully recycled and reused, as Spring Pool Glass transforms the charm of the circular economy into abundant dishes on the dining table through its expertise. The unique woven pattern challenges the highest degree of difficulty in glass craftsmanship, while also enhancing the beauty of the glass.
With a diameter of 16 cm, this compact and versatile plate can be stacked to save space. The woven pattern dinnerware blends cultural traditions and craftsmanship into practical tableware. It represents inclusivity and giving, waiting and blessing.
