Y&Sons is a specialized boutique and creator of kimonos for men offering a custom tailoring service. Dressing in a kimono is an art that requires time and practice, and the brand has reinvented the traditional garment into a creative and avant-garde outfit to wear every day.
The fabric of the kimono is made in the city of Katakai in Ojiya, Niigata Prefecture. The fabric is sewn with cotton thread and gathered before being dyed, which creates a distinct striped pattern. This traditional dyeing technique is called "shibori" in Japanese. The design is not only visually pleasing but also exquisite to the touch.
