10 MINUTES AROMA - Box of 8 incense sticks by HIBI. TEA TREE
Tea tree has a spicy and refreshing scent. Ideal for calming frustrations or melancholic feelings and making you feel light.
- 1 fireproof base
Hibi - 10 minutes aroma was born from the meeting of two traditional Japanese crafts: Harima matches and incense from Awaji Island. The desire to reintroduce the use of incense into our daily lives motivated over 3 years of research to create this truly magical product.
Instructions for use:
(1) Open the package by pulling on both sides of the perforations.
(2) Take out a hibi. Hold it by the middle (to avoid breaking it), apply its tip at a 45-degree angle to the brown part of the box and strike downwards.
(3) Once lit, hold the hibi with its tip slightly downward and wait for the flame to go out naturally. Otherwise, the incense won’t burn or the match smell will be noticeable at first (but fades after a moment, leaving the hibi scent).
(4) Place the hibi on the special mat. A scent will be released for about 10 minutes. The special mat and saucer have thermal insulation properties, so you can place them directly on a table or other surface. If you prefer, place them on the sliding lid. Stay nearby while hibi burns. Burn only one stick at a time to avoid overheating the mat.
(5) After use, completely discard the ash remaining on the mat. Otherwise, there could be a scent mix-up when using a hibi of a different fragrance.

Born from the meeting of matches and incense
hibi was born in 2015 in Hyōgo Prefecture, from the meeting of two Japanese crafts: Harima matches, with Kobe Match founded in 1929, and incense from Awaji Island, a tradition dating back to 1850. Years of development to create a stick that lights on its own and perfumes for ten minutes. A little ritual to slip into your day.

THE HIBI EXPERTISE
What makes this incense unique
Lights up like a matchstick
No need for a lighter or burner: just scrape the stick, the flame catches, and the incense fills the air.
Ten minutes, just the right amount
The time for a tea, a break, a page. A short format designed to punctuate the day without overwhelming it.
Two houses, two crafts
The matchmakers of Harima and the incense burners of Awaji have combined their skills. Years of trials for an obvious object.
The fireproof base
Each box contains a small mat on which the stick burns safely, both at home and while traveling.
A palette of fragrances
Woods, citrus, flowers, and the deeper DEEP series: a scent to choose for every moment of the day.
Pocket-size
The box fits in a pocket and slips into a bag. The brand does, however, advise against taking it on a plane.
