The Hibi 10 Minute Aroma incense was born from the meeting of a match factory and an incense manufacturer, with a shared mission: to create a new product combining two crafts. The result is a collection of incense matches. No wood is used: it is compressed incense powder. Since Japanese incense is traditionally very fragile, Hibi adds a touch of washi pulp to make it sturdy enough to be struck.
Born from the meeting of matches and incense
hibi was born on Awaji Island from the meeting of two Japanese crafts: the match manufacturers of Harima, since 1929, and the incense masters of Awaji, since 1850. Years of development to create a stick that lights on its own and perfumes for ten minutes. A little ritual to slip into your day.
