Woven Plate (recycled glass)
The AKAME × HMM Woven Plate is a piece of tableware made from recycled glass, resulting from a collaboration between HMM Design and Spring Pool Glass, inspired by the woven baskets of Taiwan's indigenous peoples. Diameter 160 mm, fully recyclable, made in Taipei.
A PLATE OF ABUNDANCE WOVEN BY GLASS
The Woven Plate AKAME X HMM is the result of a three-way collaboration between the AKAME restaurant, HMM Design, and Spring Pool Glass. AKAME is a famous fusion restaurant in southern Taiwan, specializing in wood-fired grills, seasonal indigenous ingredients, unique herbs and spices, and wild vegetables.
The Woven Plate is inspired by the shell flower woven baskets of the indigenous Taiwanese peoples, transforming the woven layers into glass to present a magnificent piece of tableware through exquisite glass craftsmanship. Made from recycled glass, this plate can be fully recycled and reused, as Spring Pool Glass turns the charm of the circular economy into plates of abundance on the dining table through its expertise. The unique woven pattern challenges the highest level of difficulty in glass craftsmanship, while also highlighting the beauty of the glass.
With a diameter of 16 cm, this compact and versatile plate can be stacked to save space. The woven pattern tableware blends cultural traditions and craftsmanship into practical tableware. It represents inclusivity and giving, anticipation and blessing.

Usage & Entretien

Useful design, born in Taipei
HMM designs office and table objects in Taipei, reduced to the essentials: a perfectly balanced all-metal pencil, scissors resting on their base like a sculpture, a ceramic coffee dripper. The name says it all: Human, Made, Method.

HMM EXPERTISE
What the HMM method changes
Balance first
The all-metal pencil is designed for weight and grip: a twelve-sided body that doesn’t roll and doesn’t tire the hand.
Scissors that stand out
Placed on their stand, the scissors remain within reach on the desk, like a small sculpture.
Just the right materials
Aluminum, brass, ceramic, or recycled glass depending on the object: the material follows the use.
Coffee too
The Patio dripper reimagines drip coffee at home, with the same commitment to simplicity.
Human, Made, Method
Three words as a method: start with the human, proceed with care, refine until it’s clear.
Taipei, set design
HMM is part of this Taiwanese generation that gives everyday objects a special place.
