The beautiful texture of phosphor bronze, which has excellent elasticity (an important function of a clip!), is soft and easy to clip and remove gently. The brass ring is removable.
Each piece is carefully crafted by skilled artisans in Japan. The surface has been treated to make scratches and fingerprints less visible. However, there is no clear coating to allow you to appreciate the patina of time, use, and environment. Oil and air will naturally darken this piece and make it shinier. This is part of its natural beauty.
If the pieces are exposed to water or humidity for long periods, the metal may change color more quickly or stain.
Thus, each piece endures through the years without deteriorating but rather evolves and develops a patina through use.

Each PICUS piece is crafted in Japan by brass artisans. No varnish or clear coating: the metal reacts to air, hands, and time, darkening and polishing, and two identical objects always end up distinct. Simple objects for the home and office, designed to last.
