Vase consisting of a brass base and a glass test tube that can be used in both directions: upside down to create a herbarium by inserting a few sprigs of dried flowers; right side up to add water to the tube and hold a few fresh flowers. Each brass piece is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in Japan. There is no transparent coating, allowing the patina created by time, use, and the environment to be appreciated. Oil and air will naturally darken this piece and make it more lustrous. This is part of its natural beauty.
If brass pieces are exposed to water or humidity for long periods, the metal may change color more quickly or become stained.
Thus, each piece passes through the years without deteriorating; on the contrary, it evolves and develops a patina with continued use.

Each PICUS piece is crafted in Japan by brass artisans. No varnish or clear coating: the metal reacts to air, hands, and time, darkening and polishing, and two identical objects always end up distinct. Simple objects for the home and office, designed to last.
