AIZAWA WOOD WORK
The beauty of wood
It takes about 100 years for a tree to reach a size suitable for making plates and trays. We use the precision and speed of machines to carve wood sourced from the mountains without waste or producing scraps.
A delicate hand polishing creates a high-quality feel. The 100 years of strength locked in the solid wood have been carved to be used for more than 100 years. We value trees and choose ways to live our lives that pass on the rich mountain forests to future generations.
Mountain ranges create ridges and valleys, and water flows through them, forming many streams. The streams grow plants, nourish trees, and form forests. Many streams have nurtured forests, and we want to continue offering the comfort of trees in people’s daily lives by using the trees that grew in these forests.
