THE COVER CONCEPT
A hardcover notebook, beautifully designed for daily use. We envisioned it as an object that naturally finds its place on a shelf and, over the years, becomes a treasured part of your collection.
Inside, you’ll find OK Fools blank pages that open perfectly flat thanks to the sewn section binding. The 5 mm grid supports you in all your tasks: handwriting, sketches, diagrams, and more. The light blue-gray printing highlights your words while remaining subtle enough not to show up during scanning.
Each notebook comes in a protective case that preserves the cover. The ribbon bookmark helps you easily find your page. Every detail is designed to offer the feeling of a book you love to return to.
The cover is made from Banshu-ori, a traditional Japanese textile produced in the Nishiwaki region, Hyogo Prefecture. Shimada Textiles, a Banshu-ori manufacturer with over 90 years of history, continues to create distinctive fabrics in close collaboration with skilled artisans at every stage of production.
We chose Banshu-ori for the cover of our signature notebook. The deep gray offers a timeless finish for a notebook you’ll want to keep by your side.

Born in Kuramae, the craftsmen's district
Since 2010, Kakimori has inspired writing from Kuramae, a workshop district in Tokyo. Inks with vibrant colors, metal nibs, carefully selected papers: each item is designed to make the act of writing simple and precious, every day.

KAKIMORI EXPERTISE
What makes these objects unique
Inks with bold colors
Kakimori inks are pigmented: dense colors that sit on the paper and stay there, without bleeding through the page.
Metal feathers, regular stroke
Stainless steel or brass nibs provide a smooth and consistent line, and can be cleaned with a simple gesture.
Carefully selected paper
Notebooks, envelopes, and letter papers are selected for their feel and ink durability.
Hand-finished
Caps, pen holders, and pen rests go through the workshop for a smooth and precise finish.
A craftsman’s district
Kuramae, between workshops and shops, is the birthplace of the brand. It is where everything is designed and tested.
Since 2010
A young brand that has made a name for itself among writing enthusiasts, in Tokyo as well as in Paris.
