A hardcover notebook designed for daily use. The Smyth sewn binding ensures each page lays perfectly flat. The pages feature a light gray grid hand-drawn to be easy on the eyes and not stand out when scanned. We created this notebook to find its place on a shelf and become part of a treasured collection over time. Limited edition design.

Born in Kuramae, the craftsmen's district
Since 2010, Kakimori has inspired writing from Kuramae, a workshop district in Tokyo. Inks with vibrant colors, metal nibs, carefully selected papers: each item is designed to make the act of writing simple and precious, every day.

What makes these objects unique
Inks with bold colors
Kakimori inks are pigmented: dense colors that sit on the paper and stay there, without bleeding through the page.
Metal feathers, regular stroke
Stainless steel or brass nibs provide a smooth and consistent line, and can be cleaned with a simple gesture.
Carefully selected paper
Notebooks, envelopes, and letter papers are selected for their feel and ink durability.
Hand-finished
Caps, pen holders, and pen rests go through the workshop for a smooth and precise finish.
