06 TOPPURI - Pigment Ink by Kakimori, Tokyo, Japan.
"Look closer and you might see the stars in the night sky. Toppuri describes this comforting darkness that comes at nightfall. A soft color perfect for relaxation." The names given to the inks are inspired by Japanese onomatopoeia and their imagery.
Innovative pigments have been developed to minimize clogging in the nib while being water-resistant. These inks can be used with dip pens, fountain pens, and rollerballs, allowing you to fully enjoy the pleasure of writing and drawing.
The evocative shape of the bottle resembles a drop of molten glass that has solidified. Filling the bottles with ink creates the illusion of two elements becoming one. The stable base prevents the ink from tipping over.
Once dry, these pigment inks are water- and fade-resistant. They have been developed so that your special messages withstand the test of time.
The wide 2cm opening with an 8° tilt makes dipping easy and helps prevent damage to delicate nibs. The reduced depth allows effortless refilling and helps keep your pens clean.
The design of the bottle and writing accessories was carefully entrusted to Japanese designer Makoto Koizumi. Conceived as furniture pieces to be treasured, the various materials were crafted by Japanese artisans.

Born in Kuramae, the craftsmen's district

KAKIMORI EXPERTISE
What makes these objects unique
Inks with bold colors
Kakimori inks are pigmented: dense colors that sit on the paper and stay there, without bleeding through the page.
Metal feathers, regular stroke
Stainless steel or brass nibs provide a smooth and consistent line, and can be cleaned with a simple gesture.
Carefully selected paper
Notebooks, envelopes, and letter papers are selected for their feel and ink durability.
Hand-finished
Caps, pen holders, and pen rests go through the workshop for a smooth and precise finish.
A craftsman’s district
Kuramae, between workshops and shops, is the birthplace of the brand. It is where everything is designed and tested.
Since 2010
A young brand that has made a name for itself among writing enthusiasts, in Tokyo as well as in Paris.
