Pole Pole - Santa Claus
"Pole Pole" means slowly, little by little, in Swahili. The Japanese manufacturer T-Lab is committed to conveying the warmth of wood and handmade craftsmanship while preserving forests. This wood allows for a smooth and soft finish and results in a very lightweight object. Once finely sanded, they are hand-painted, making each piece somewhat different and truly unique! Only skilled and meticulous artisans can achieve an almost identical result for the same animal.
The original design, all rounded and soft, makes these animals very endearing. The hardest part will be choosing...

Usage & Entretien
-Do not clean with water, as the paint may dissolve.
-Do not expose to high heat to prevent discoloration and cracking of the wood.
-The wood is untreated and naturally sensitive to moisture. In a very humid room, you may notice mold stains appearing.
A Christmas carved from albizia
T-Lab, a Japanese manufacturer dedicated to woodworking, presents here its December collection. Santa Clauses, snowmen, and Christmas trees are cut from albizia falcata, carved, carefully sanded, and then hand-painted. The series include Good Friends (with the Cuddle Up figurines), Jingle Bells, Triangular and Classic, with finishes ranging from red to green, and from gold to silver. Since each piece passes through the hands of an artisan, the size and shape vary from one item to another. These are decorative objects, meant to be placed out of reach of young children.

What makes each figurine unique
A simplified silhouette
Santa Claus, the snowman, and the Christmas tree are reduced to smooth, rounded lines. Nothing more than the shape, without any unnecessary detail.
Cut, then sculpted
Each piece is cut from albizia falcata wood, then carved into its final shape.
Sanded, then painted
Careful sanding comes before the color, applied by hand with a paint of plant-based origin.
No identical parts
The size and shape vary from one piece to another. The figurine you receive will therefore never be exactly like the one in the photo.
A wood that is replanted
Albizia falcata comes from eco-responsible forests, and T-Lab replants the trees it harvests.
Series to collect
The characters come in several finishes, in sizes S and L, and in several series, including Good Friends (with the Snuggle figurines), Jingle Bells, Triangular and Classic. They can be arranged together on the same shelf.
