THE HANDMADE WOODEN POLEPOLE ANIMALS

"Pole pole" means slowly, little by little, in Swahili. The Japanese manufacturer T-Lab is committed to passing on the craft of woodworking. Their original minimalist design, round and smooth, gives these animals a particularly endearing charm. Cut, carved, finely sanded and finally painted by hand, each piece is slightly different and entirely unique.

  • Handcrafted in Bali
  • Vegetable-based paint
  • Albizia Falcata wood from eco-responsible forests
  • Each animal is different and each piece is unique: size and shape may vary
  • Decorative object, not suitable for young children

The design is inspired by the "Engimon", a traditional Japanese good luck charm. Notches on the back also allow it to be used as a card holder. Each piece comes with a message card featuring a sunrise motif.

ECO-RESPONSIBLE WOODEN ANIMALS

T-Lab preserves the naturally fast-growing Albizia Falcata forests by committing to replant the trees used in its production. It is an entirely natural product, with no chemical treatments or pollutants in either the wood or the paint.

A NATURAL AND MINIMALIST DECORATIVE OBJECT

The simplicity and gentleness of this little animal bring a sense of calm throughout the day. It will sit naturally on your desk, where a simple glance at your totem animal is enough to set daily worries aside.

The perfect balance between the natural wood tone and the black paint makes it a unique decorative piece that will find its place anywhere in your home. Your polepole animal looks just as lovely in a bright spot such as a windowsill as it does tucked away in the shade of a bookcase.

To complement your interior, place your favourite animal in a setting suited to this kind of design piece: a wooden shelf, a Scandinavian-inspired desk or a child's room.
