MINO POTTERY
The Mino region is recognized as Japan’s leading center of ceramic production. With a history spanning more than 1,000 years, it has developed a wide variety of pieces suited to the styles of each era.
Among Mino’s 15 traditional craft styles, four types - Setoguro, Kiseto, Shino, and Oribe - stand out for their balanced colors and have become emblematic of Mino ceramics.
Continuing this tradition inherited from the era when it was affectionately known as "Hyôgemono" (meaning "charming objects"), we offer tableware designed for everyday modern use and to be passed down to future generations.
Discover the beauty of Mino ceramics, which has graced Japanese tables for more than 1,000 years, through the combination of ancestral and contemporary techniques, clay, and glazes.

The wood of Fukui, the land of Mino
This set brings together two Japanese workshops. The chopsticks come from Fukui, made of natural wood coated with a urethane polyester varnish, and measure 23 cm, a length easy to handle. The chopstick rest is made of Mino porcelain, the region where CHIPS sources its clays and colors. The four colors of the series, the glossy black of Setoguro, the creamy white of Shino, the deep green of Oribe, and the warm yellow of Kiseto, are the traditional colors of Mino ceramics, inherited from the Momoyama period over 400 years ago. Stored in their box, the two pieces are ready to be gifted as they are.
