The N°08 adventurer is the most versatile folding knife.

Its pierced handle and cord make it practical to hang. Its stainless steel blade is corrosion-resistant. The handle is comfortable in the hand. The safety system, the Virobloc®, locks the blade in both the open and closed positions.

  • Blade size: 8.5 cm

Blade: Modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel. It is corrosion-resistant thanks to the addition of chromium and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives it excellent sharpness.

Blade shape: The classic Opinel blade has adopted a Yatagan shape. The Yatagan shape is inspired by a traditional Turkish saber, with the tip pointing upwards. The blade is sharpened with an exclusive convex profile that ensures blade strength and allows effective resharpening.

Haendel: Sourced from French forests, this lightly grained white wood is ideal for applying color. The handle is varnished to protect it from moisture and dirt.

Safety ring: Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring equips all folding knives from N° 06 onwards. Made from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (use safety), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (transport safety).
