CHIPS - OCTAGONAL MUG – ANCIENT POTTERY SERIES
A mug with a flat rim and an octagonal base.
The contrast between its delicate silhouette and its raw glaze – which evokes a completely different material – is the highlight of this piece.
This mug is both lightweight, pleasant to hold, and very functional for everyday use.
The brass color has a muted shade and a texture reminiscent of old metal tableware: it's hard to believe it is ceramic.
With each use, its color gradually evolves under the effect of oils and acids, making this mug a living object that transforms over time.
The color nuances that appear over time are part of the pleasure of use.
Moreover, the dishes or drinks served with it are beautifully highlighted by this deep and understated tone.
THE ANCIENT POTTERY SERIES
Old or artisanal tableware often fascinates – but it can be expensive, and many hesitate to actually use it... In the end, this admiration often remains theoretical.
The ancient pottery series captures the subtle details of old or artisanal pieces, while being made of sturdy stoneware: a very practical ceramic suited for modern daily use.
This product was designed in collaboration with potters from Mino, using the region's materials and techniques, with the aim of making refinement more accessible.
This tableware could well be your first step towards a long-held dream.
