The Ocean sustainable ballpoint pen was born from a love of the sea.
Using discarded fishing nets from Taiwan, it takes on a new form. Centered around the ocean, three colors illustrate the enchanting shades of the sea throughout the day.
YSTUDIO explores the variations in the colors and ripples of the ocean, recording the passage of time and highlighting the different moods in your daily life.
The Ocean sustainable ballpoint pen takes its name from Taiwan, surrounded by the sea, while also reflecting the source of its material: recycled fishing nets.
YSTUDIO is passionate about upcycling and preserving objects, aiming to extend their lifespan to reduce the burden on our planet.
As part of its commitment to sustainability, this pen is made from:
- Used fishing nets collected in Taiwan.
- Ocean-recycled nylon, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 83%.
- Compliance with the strictest environmental standards: raw materials that meet EU RoHS and REACH certifications and the global GRS recycling standard.
- Low-lead and low-nickel brass components, ensuring a lead content of less than 0.01%.
- FSC-certified paper outer packaging, supporting responsible forest management.

Sun exposure: To avoid slight yellowing of plastic components, minimize prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Alcohol exposure: Although alcohol has no harmful effect during use, it is best to avoid prolonged exposure to prevent any damage.
Regular cleaning: For daily maintenance, use a dry cloth. In case of dirt, a simple wipe with a damp cloth is sufficient.
Brass: The front tip of the pen is made of brass; its color may change depending on use and storage conditions. This color change due to oxidation is harmless. To restore the original appearance, use brass oil and a thick paper towel to gently polish.
