With their simple shape and classic colors, very popular during the period of rapid economic growth in Japan, these waste baskets are still widely used today in living rooms and offices with their simple yet aesthetic form that cannot be produced with plastic. In 2015, this design received the "Good Design・Long-Life Design Awards".
These waste baskets are very durable and highly resistant to rust thanks to a caulking process used instead of welding. Although made of steel, the edges where the plates join are covered with a single plate to allow gentle contact with the fingers and prevent clothing from catching. The finish is high-end thanks to high-quality painting work instead of printing.
