FOR OVER 50 YEARS

Toyo Steel has been manufacturing high-quality metal toolboxes since 1969 at its Osaka factory, following core values set by its founder, Keiyu Hisashi: using strong, durable metal and a seamless manufacturing process. These two combined virtues ensure Toyo Steel toolboxes are both durable and functional.

COMBINING DESIGN AND FUNCTIONALITY

The original manufacturing method of Toyo Steel toolboxes, by embossing an aluminum sheet with a hydraulic press, is the source of their sleek style that makes them so easily recognizable. Every detail is carefully considered, and this seamless production in a lightweight, strong metal allows for rounded corners to prevent injuries, as well as stacking the boxes on top of each other for easier storage. The boxes are enamel-coated to protect them from corrosion.

Once reserved for workshops, Toyo Steel toolboxes have found their place in every room of the house to efficiently organize countless items. Their unique design earned them a place in the Museum of Modern Art’s collection in New York and they received the Good Design Award in 2009.
