The match as a little luxury

Long matches have a very practical advantage: you can reach the bottom of a candle or the heart of a stove without burning your fingers. But what you remember is the box, illustrated with a running hare or a graphic pattern, and the colored heads that turn a utilitarian object into a playful wink on the table. Also see the candles and incense they are used to light.

Beautiful to see, made to serve

A pretty matchbox is kept within reach, where you need it, and displayed like a small vignette. It’s one of those small thoughtful touches that make a home, a detail that doesn’t cost much but still stands out. And when the box is empty, you keep it a little longer, for the image.
