Hold it in the middle (to avoid breaking it), apply its head at a 45-degree angle to the brown part of the box, and strike downward.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e(3) Once lit, hold the hibi with its head slightly downward and wait for the flame to go out naturally. Otherwise, the incense will not burn or the match smell will be noticeable at first (but fades after a while, giving way to the hibi scent).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e(4) Place the hibi on the special mat. A scent will be released for about 10 minutes. Since the special mat and saucer have thermal insulation properties, you can place them directly on a table or other surface. If you prefer, place them on the sliding lid. Stay nearby while the hibi burns.
